One of our goals in physical education at Nicolet is to reinforce literacy during our center weeks. During centers, the students practice particular skills for about 4 to 5 minutes and then rotate to a new center.
Mr. Lepisto created a video used with a throwing center where the kindergarten and 1st grade students follow an animal making a letter. The students try to throw a ball at the animal as it moves through the correct printing pathway.Here is a video of some kindergarten and 1st grade students engaged in the throwing center with lowercase letters and pathways.
